Note: A typical installation depth is 2–2.5 inches for this rock, which provides good coverage for most applications. Installing at 3 inches can offer added durability and longer-lasting coverage, especially in higher-use areas. Depths less than 2 inches may allow weed barrier or soil to become visible. When in doubt, test a small section first.

- Sizing: Primarily 3/4"–1" material. Some pieces may exceed 1", and the material will include smaller particles and fines as part of the natural mix.
- Cleanliness: Unwashed material with a presence of fines (typically less than 10-15%). Fines from production, handling and transport are normal.
- Appearance: Fractured stone featuring a rich blend of dark charcoal and pink rock with a granite spotted look. Appearance may vary slightly between loads.
- History: Size has remained consistent over time, though color can vary more notably than most stones. As always, natural variation is part of the character of the stone.
- Also known as: Commonly referred to as landscape gravel or decorative driveway rock.
