Note: A typical installation depth is 1.5–2 inches for this rock, which provides good coverage for most applications. Installing at 2.5 inches can offer added durability and longer-lasting coverage, especially in higher-use areas. Depths less than 1.5 inches may allow weed barrier or soil to become visible. When in doubt, test a small section first.
Product details, what you should know
- Sizing: Primarily ⅜" material. Some pieces may exceed ⅜", and the material will include smaller particles and fines as part of the natural mix.
- Cleanliness: Unwashed material with a light presence of fines (typically less than 5%). Fines from production, handling and transport are normal.
- Appearance: Small, semi-rounded stone featuring a natural mix of sandy tan, light gray and beige tones. Color may vary slightly between loads.
- History: Material has remained generally consistent in size and color over time. with minor variation between loads expected with any quarried material.
- Also known as: Commonly referred to as pea gravel, squeegee.
