Installing at 3 inches can offer added durability and longer-lasting coverage, especially in higher-use areas. Depths less than 2 inches may allow weed barrier or soil to become visible. - Sizing: Primarily 3/4"–1" material. Some pieces may exceed 1", and the material will include smaller particles and fines as part of the natural mix.
- Cleanliness: Unwashed material with a light presence of fines (typically less than 10%). Fines from production, handling and transport are normal.
- Appearance: Rough-textured fractured stone featuring a warm blend of dusty pink, salmon, and bold red tones. Colors deepen and intensify when wet. Color may vary slightly between loads.
- History: Material has remained generally consistent in size and color over time, though as with many red-toned stones the balance between dusty pink and deeper red tones can shift between loads. Natural variation is to be expected with any quarried material.
