Note: A typical installation depth is 3–3.5 inches for this rock, which provides good coverage for most applications. Installing at 4 inches can offer added durability and longer-lasting coverage, especially in higher-use areas. Depths less than 3 inches may allow weed barrier or soil to become visible. When in doubt, test a small section first.
Product details, what you should know
- Sizing: Primarily 1.5"–2" material. Some pieces may exceed 2", and the material will include smaller particles and fines as part of the natural mix.
- Cleanliness: Unwashed material with a presence of fines (typically less than 10-15%). Fines from production, handling and transport are normal.
- Appearance: Fractured stone featuring a wide-ranging blend of salmon, tan, and gray, with occasional pieces of deep burgundy and golden yellow adding pop throughout the mix. This is one of our most color-varied stones, with more tonal range piece-to-piece than most of our other gravels. Colors deepen and become more vibrant when wet. Color may vary slightly between loads.
- History: Material has remained generally consistent in size and color over time. The salmon, tan, and gray blend with occasional burgundy and gold accent pieces is typical of this stone, with minor variation between loads as expected with any quarried material. Colors tend to appear more muted when dry and deepen noticeably when wet.

Paradise Gravel is a colorful, high-variety option that works well in driveways, drainage, and general landscaping. Its larger 2″ size gives it a bold, substantial look and makes it particularly well suited for high-traffic areas and applications where stability and drainage are a priority. Worth noting — this stone has some of the widest color variation in our lineup, with salmon, gold, and burgundy tones all deepening further after rain, making it a great choice if you want a landscape with a lot of visual movement and color.
