Installing at 6 inches can offer added durability and longer-lasting coverage, especially in higher-use areas. Depths less than 4 inches may allow weed barrier or soil to become visible. When in doubt, test a small section first.

- Sizing: Primarily 1"–4" material. Some pieces may exceed 4", and the material will include smaller particles and fines as part of the natural mix.
- Cleanliness: Unwashed material with a presence of fines (typically less than 10-15%). Fines from production, handling and transport are normal.
- Appearance: A blend of rounded and fractured stone featuring a natural mix of soft blue-gray and creamy white tones with warm tan accents. Color may vary slightly between loads.
- History: Material has remained generally consistent in size and color over time. As a natural stone blend, some variation in the ratio of rounded to fractured pieces between loads is to be expected, along with minor color variation typical of any naturally sourced material.
