Note: A typical installation depth is 2–2.5 inches for this rock, which provides good coverage for most applications. Installing at 3 inches can offer added durability and longer-lasting coverage, especially in higher-use areas. Depths less than 2 inches may allow weed barrier or soil to become visible. When in doubt, test a small section first.
Product details, what you should know
- Sizing: Primarily 3/4"–1" material. Some pieces may exceed 1", and the material will include smaller particles and fines as part of the natural mix.
- Cleanliness: Unwashed material with a light presence of fines (typically less than 10%). Fines from production, handling and transport are normal.
- Appearance: Fractured stone featuring soft off-white and golden-tan tones. This gravel is a great alternative to the discontinued Travertine. Color may vary slightly between loads
- History: Material has remained generally consistent in size and color over time. As always, natural variation is to be expected with any quarried material.
- Also known as: Commonly referred to as landscape gravel or decorative driveway rock.
Wild Desert is an excellent alternative to the discontinued Travertine. It has some off-white with mostly golden-tan tones that add a beautiful accent to any landscaping and can also be used functionally. This gravel is incredibly versatile and easy to incorporate into almost any landscape style.
